Thanks to everyone who participated in this process. We wanted to hear from everyone who lives, works or receives services in Columbia. Following the survey, we conducted focus groups. During June 2022, we conducted a survey across every section of our community. The City Council has requested the second half be allocated to priority areas identified by the community. The first half of this funding is designated for initiatives related to homelessness, community violence, behavioral crisis care mental health services, and workforce development. The City of Columbia received a total of $25.2 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to address the public health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
